20R070 Grain-Oriented Electrical Steel

The thinnest grade in the range, for transformer cores with very demanding no-load loss targets.

20R070 Grain-Oriented Electrical Steel

20R070 is supplied at 0.20 mm for cores where no-load loss targets are tight and core size has to be kept small. The thin gauge limits eddy current loss, and high permeability reduces excitation current so that fewer turns or a smaller core section can carry the same duty.

Because thin material is more sensitive to handling, coils are packed for transport and supplied slit to the core width required by the winding line, with mill test certificates covering core loss, induction and coating class.
